Blah blah blah, enough about me, eh? Okay fine, look, while some of my friends have been hunkering down with steady jobs and building their careers, I’ve been all over the place trying to figure out my niche in the world.
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from Curtin University, Western Australia. I did most of my growing up in industrial Section 24 in Shah Alam, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I’m part Chinese, Indian and Thai, and it was quite fun in school when my classmates couldn’t figure out my heritage. Being born on a Thursday, a Thursday’s child has far to go, and since I was a wee child, I’ve taken that meaning literally and decided I would travel and go on many adventures in faraway countries. Now as I grow wiser, I’ve also discovered the other facet of that saying. It’ll take so much more work for me to achieve what I want.
Now residing in Australia and slowly working on getting a Defacto Visa with my other half, I dream of the day that I finally get awarded an Australian citizenship. I really can’t wait to see my career and life grow here, and it has been challenging so far.
My resume is chock full of experiences in film, photography, and communication design in advertising, marketing and events, besides other jobs that include me being a bartender, waitress and hair salon receptionist on each day for 3 days because the establishments belonged to the same owner! But essentially, I deal and specialize in visual design in the mass media. Need sharks in a giant fishbowl in the middle of a mall to promote your heavy duty fibreglass patent? I can probably arrange that for you.
I’m also a Taekwondo black belt and hope to be a certified Personal Trainer for fitness soon, so call me if you need a bodyguard.
